| | | | BIO Thank you so much for stopping to read my bio page. Formerly Diane Ried, I have been a professional photographer and graphic designer since 1988. I have seen many changes in the technologies and although I miss developing film and working in a darkroom, I have to admit that my poor film cameras are just collecting dust, waiting for me to come and use them again some day. I am 100% digital and I am MAC based. I have worked in many fields in the media related industries, including my latest stint as a stringer (freelance) photographer for The News Review and Suffolk Times. I have had hundreds of photos published and my pictures and designs are on sites and in publication across the country. Although I began my professional career in the music entertainment industry, I have been fortunate to have worked in many areas. I have been on site as Art Director on a photo shoot in the Bahamas, I have photographed models on a moutnain and I have captured newsworthy moments in my own backyard towns. My greatest love in photography is capturing the essence of childhood and creating moody photoshop landscapes. I also love currently being able to photograph ballet and dance performances. It seems my goal is to capture the emotion of life. And alternately, creating my own realities from creative visions I have. Through having my own children, I have discovered a passion for teaching and so currently I teach digital photography to young students as well - my youngest is 9! I currently am organizing a non profit organization www.empirefinearts.org, that will benefit young artists by providing materials, loaner equipment as well as organize gallery showings of their work. Although I offer a wide range of services to my clients, I think my best talent lays in being able to interpret my clients needs, not only attempt to give them better than what they were thinking - but I give them piece of mind. I truly love what I do and I love the satisfaction of delivering a beautiful finished product to my clients, whether it is a portrait of their child, a designed and printed book, or just a face lift on an old website, it's what I do... if only I had more time to to upload everything here, but then my clients work would not get done ..... Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to email me! And visit my latest labor of love - an electronic publication dedicated to home educators. www.eastcoastpublishinggroup.com | |
